PSX Breakout Gateway Control Function (BGCF) Routing Server
The Sonus Networks PSX™ is a powerful and feature-rich IMS element that provides service selection and routing for IP-voice and multimedia services across the Sonus IMS architecture. Proven in telecommunications provider networks worldwide, the PSX has the industry's broadest, most flexible set of routing features, seamless scalability and reliability.
The PSX fills the role of the IMS-defined Breakout Gateway Control Function (BGCF), which is responsible for routing calls from the IMS network to other networks (e.g., between IP-voice and TDM networks).
The PSX supports routing for a wide range of applications, including:

- Tandem switching

- International functions: digit normalization, overlap digit dialing, user-defined call types, CPC screening and mapping, and signaling interworking
