PSX BGCF Advantages
Sophisticated, high-performance routing: The PSX™ BGCF acts as a high-performance SIP proxy, applying sophisticated routing analysis to session requests.
Rich feature set and flexibility: The PSX BGCF is a robust routing engine, more flexible than any packet or circuit switch available. It has broad application and international feature support proven in large-scale, carrier-class IP networks.
Enables rapid service roll-out: A single PSX BGCF supports an entire network (e.g., centralized routing tables), thus services can be rolled out quickly and ubiquitously. The PSX also improves feasibility of service offering, reduces deployment costs, and simplifies service management, analysis and planning.
Seamless scalability: The PSX BGCF allows service providers three ways to add capacity while maintaining system performance. First, service providers can add processing power to existing PSX nodes or add additional "mirror" nodes to the same location. Secondly, they can deploy PSX nodes with the same database, distributing the traffic load and allowing networks to be configured to support the demands of different regions. This significantly reduces administration and maintenance, and since the nodes share the same network database, they can be managed as one unit. Finally, service providers can deploy PSX zoning, which allows service providers to segregate network information in different PSX databases, providing more controlled network administration. Regardless of how the PSX is configured, the result is a network that can seamlessly support growth to millions of calls-per-hour without stressing any single point in the network.
